Judge said Trump was cursing during Stormy Daniels testimony

The judge presiding over Donald Trump’s hush money trial warned the former president’s lawyer on Tuesday that he will not tolerate his client “loudly cursing” during the trial. Testimony of Stormi Danielshe said it could intimidate the witness.

The exchange between Judge Juan Merchan and Trump’s attorney Todd Blanche occurred during a side panel, according to an official court transcript released Tuesday evening.

In Mercha’s speech to Blanche, the judge told her: “I understand that your client is upset at this point, but he is swearing audibly and shaking his head visually and that is offensive.”

Blanche replied that she would talk to Trump, the transcript showed.

Referring to their discussion on the bench outside the rest of the courtroom, the judge also told Blanche, “I’m talking to you here on the bench because I don’t want to embarrass her.”

Merchan continued: “You should talk to him. I will not tolerate it.”
