Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said Wednesday that a former township clerk and his attorney will face charges over allegations of voter data breaches related to Michigan’s 2020 election.
Former Adams Township Clerk Stephanie Scott and her personal attorney, Stefanie Lambert, alleged that Nessel’s office “allowed an unauthorized computer auditor to access voter information, including non-public voter information, related to the 2020 General Election.” news release.
Scott faces six counts — five felonies and one misdemeanor — of concealing or possessing a voting machine and using a computer to commit a crime. Lambert faces three felony charges, including using a computer to commit a crime. It is not clear how they begged.

“Ensuring election security and integrity is a cornerstone of our democracy,” Nessel said.
