PALM BEACH, Fla. – Donald Trump compared President Joe Biden’s administration to Nazi Germany’s secret police force in a speech at a private, closed-door donor retreat Saturday afternoon.
The former president’s comments came as he spoke about his legal troubles, attacking prosecutors in the cases and lamenting the recent indictments of several former top aides in Arizona. 11 so-called fake voters from the 2020 elections.
“These people are running a Gestapo administration,” Trump said, according to audio of the dinner provided to NBC News. “And that’s all they have. And that’s the only way they think they can win.”
“After I was indicted, I said well, now the gloves have to come off,” Trump said, adding that Biden was “the worst president in the history of our country.” He is very incompetent. She is curvy as hell. He is a Manchurian candidate, he receives huge amounts of money from China, Russia, Ukraine and many other countries. He is a fraud.”
The former president added that he does not let his legal problems bother him too much.
“If you care too much, you drown. And kind of, I don’t care. “You know, life is life,” he said.
However, he admitted he was surprised when he was charged.
“After I was charged, I said, holy s—. I was just charged. I. I have been indicted,” Trump said.
The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Trump spoke Saturday afternoon at the Mar-a-Lago Club, where hundreds of donors gathered for the Republican National Committee’s spring break.
The former president was limited on the campaign trail as he was forced to sit in a Manhattan courtroom four days a week. for his criminal case there, regarding hush money payments to an adult movie star around the 2016 election.
Featured guests include a number of potential vice presidential candidates, including South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, New York Representative Elise Stefanik, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Ohio Senator JD Vance, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, Florida State Representative Byron. Donalds and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.
At the dinner, Trump, along with several other elected officials, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., brought all of those guests on stage except for Noem, who left early, according to two people who attended.
Trump also said he would allow anyone who donates $1 million to come on stage. Two people accepted the offer, including one woman who said: “Donald J. Trump is God’s chosen one.”
