Donald Trump On Tuesday, the former president teamed up with country music star Lee Greenwood, whose song “God Bless the USA” is being played everywhere, at political rallies, touting expensive Bibles.

“All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many,” Trump said video Announcing a job deal at Truth Social.

“This is my favorite book. It is a favorite book of many people,” he added.

“Religion and Christianity are the biggest things missing in this country and I really believe we need to bring them back,” he said. “This is one of our biggest problems, that’s why our country is falling apart, we’ve lost religion in our country.”

The ubiquitous Christian scripture is the best in the books and churches are often more than happy to give them away for free. The Bible is also free to read on a wide variety of websites and apps, not to mention hotel rooms and other locations.

The God Bless the USA Bible costs $59.99, excluding shipping and handling charges.

For that money, buyers get a number of extra features not usually included in modern Bibles.

The Trump-Greenwood Bible, a King James translation, includes a copy of the “handwritten chorus” to Greenwood’s hit of the same name, according to the website.

It also includes the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and the Pledge of Allegiance, the site says.

The site proclaims that it is the “only Bible” endorsed by Trump or Greenwood. And he adds that it is the ONLY BIBLE inspired by “God Bless the USA, America’s best-known patriotic hymn.”

The text is also printed in a large font highlighting Jesus’ words in red.

It was not immediately clear how much money Trump and Greenwood made from the promotion.

The partnership comes at a particularly turbulent time for Trump’s finances.

The presumptive Republican nominee recently saw his net worth increase by billions of dollars following a successful merger that allowed his media company to publicly trade on the NASDAQ.

But he cannot cash his share in that company for months. In the meantime, he has just days to post $175 million in an appeal bond that will prevent New York State from enforcing a $454 million civil fraud judgment against him.

Trump is also fighting other tough civil judgments, including a federal jury that ordered him to pay $83.3 million for defamation to author E. Jean Carroll after she accused the former president of raping her years ago.

Trump’s political fund-raising operation lags far behind the campaign of his opponent, the current president of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden. Trump said Monday that he may put his own money into his White House bid.

A website selling Trump-backed Bibles says none of its proceeds will go to the Trump campaign.

The site states that it is “non-political and not associated with any political campaign.”

“ is not owned, operated or controlled by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, CIC Ventures LLC or any of their respective executives or affiliates.”

Instead, it says it has been licensed by CIC Ventures to use Trump’s name, likeness and image.

Trump’s 2023 budget disclosure reveals that he has raised more than $5 million through CIC Ventures.
