President Joe Biden hit back at pro-Palestinian protesters who interrupted his health care speech on Tuesday, saying “they have a point.”
Two protesters from Raleigh, North Carolina, where the president asked, “How’s the health care situation in Gaza?” after interrupting by shouting, he was taken out of the venue.
“Everybody deserves health care,” Biden said as protesters claimed hospitals in Gaza were being bombed and Biden was “complicit in genocide.” The president asked the audience to “be patient with them”.
“They have a point,” Biden said after the protesters were dismissed. “We need to pay more attention to Gaza.”
The audience gave the president a standing ovation.
