Executives at Meta, TikTok, X, Snap and Discord have faced tough questions about their efforts to combat online sexual exploitation. “Online child sexual exploitation is a crisis in America,” said Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin, who said companies are not doing enough to keep children safe. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg apologized to parents at the hearing. This was reported by Keith Snow from NBC.
