WASHINGTON – Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to announce her vice presidential pick on Tuesday. first rally together in Philadelphia that evening, according to two sources familiar with the plan.
The timing of the announcement could still change depending on when Harris makes his final decision or if there are media leaks that affect the current plan, these people cautioned.
Tuesday’s announcement will be similar to past major announcements, including digital video and social media components, as well as a fundraising appeal, these sources said. The Harris campaign will also send out various text messages to supporters throughout the day, as has been a common practice around big moments in the past. The highly anticipated decision comes after Harris met in person on Sunday three of the candidates Governor of Pennsylvania, who was being considered as his vice presidential choice.
