Navy sailor disciplined for trying to access Biden medical records multiple times

A sailor assigned to the medical team at a base in Virginia tried unsuccessfully to access the president Joe BidenMedical records multiple times earlier this year, a Navy spokesman said Tuesday.

A co-worker reported the records breach, which was investigated by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. NCIS alerted the U.S. Secret Service, which was involved in the interview of the unidentified sailor, a defense official said.

The NCIS investigation concluded on April 24 and the sailor was “administered,” a defense official said.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was notified of the breach in February and the Navy informed the White House about the incident, Defense Department spokesman Maj. Gen. Patrick Ryder said.

The disclosure of the attempted access to the records comes amid renewed questions about Biden’s health after a dismal debate performance against former President Donald Trump last month.
