Trump confuses Ronny Jackson’s name when bragging about taking cognitive test

Former President Donald Trump mixed up his name on Saturday Former White House physician Moments after President Joe Biden said he had to take a cognitive test.

The confusion occurred when the former president boasted that he had “passed” a cognitive test. Trump also criticized Biden and said, “I think he should pass a cognitive test like me.”

“I took a cognitive test and I passed it. Dr. Ronnie — Dr. Ronnie Johnson,” Trump said, mixing up the name of then-White House physician and current congressman Ronnie Jackson. “Does everyone know Congressman Ronnie Johnson from Texas? He was the White House physician.”

Trump went on to brag about getting “every question right” on Jackson’s cognitive test, apparently unaware that he had gotten his former doctor’s name wrong.

A spokesman for the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment Sunday evening.

The former president earlier mixed names prominent officials and politicians. In January, he confused then-GOP challenger Nikki Haley with Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California when talking about the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Trump called Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán the leader of Turkey and changed Biden’s name to former President Barack Obama, which Trump defended as “ironic.”

Trump, who turns 78 on Friday, often tries to paint Biden as mentally incompetent.

However, the Biden campaign released a clip on Saturday showing Trump’s confusion On X. The article has more than 18 thousand likes.

Trump’s and Biden’s ages, 78 and 81, would make both the oldest sitting presidents. The query shows that voters are also concerned about what the candidates’ ages might mean for their ability to hold office. According to the poll, voters consider the issue more Biden’s responsibility than Trump’s.
