President Biden spoke at Pointe Du Hoc in Normandy to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day and praised the courage and sacrifice of American soldiers who climbed the cliffs during the operation. Biden said it is important for modern Americans to continue the legacy of those who lost their lives in World War II by helping to “preserve freedom in our time.”
