President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that American bombs were used Israel killing peaceful Palestinians.
“Civilians have been killed in Gaza as a result of these bombs and the other paths they follow through the settlements,” Biden said during an interview with CNN when asked if the 2,000-pound bombs sent to Israel killed civilians. The White House last week stopped a weapons shipment that includes this type of bomb.
If the Israeli military launches a ground attack on Rafah, the Gaza city of more than a million people, the White House will not provide “weapons that have historically been used to deal with Rafah to fight cities,” Biden said.
“We will not supply the weapons and artillery shells used,” Biden said.
