Trump again won’t commit to accepting the presidential election results

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday will not accept the results of the 2024 presidential election – repeating comments he made during the 2020 campaign.

“If everything is honest, I will gladly accept the results. I’m not changing that,” Trump said in a statement on Wednesday Interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “If not, you must fight for the right of the country.”

The presumptive Republican presidential candidate also repeated his false claim that he defeated Joe Biden in Wisconsin in the 2020 election.

“If you go back and look at all the things that were revealed, it showed that I won the election in Wisconsin,” Trump told the Journal Sentinel. “It also showed that I won elections elsewhere.”

“We’re way ahead,” Trump said before repeating his baseless claims that the 2020 election was rigged. Absolutely terrible. They did so many, so many different things that they completely messed up what was supposed to happen. You know it and everybody knows it. We can read them, down an arm’s length list. But I don’t think we will be able to achieve it. I think we will win. If we don’t win, you know, it depends. It always depends on the fair conduct of the election.”

At a rally in Freehand, Michigan on Wednesday, Trump announced a joint effort with the Republican National Committee called “Save the Vote,” which he described as an effort to “make sure what happened in 2020 doesn’t happen again.”

“We’re not going to let that happen,” Trump said.

Trump’s campaign and the RNC last month He promised to deploy 100,000 volunteers and lawyers to the war zones tracking early voting, mail-in ballots, Election Day voting and any recounts is part of an effort they describe as “protecting votes and ensuring a big win” in November.
