Conservative influencer helped steal a table used to assault officers on Jan. 6, FBI says

WASHINGTON — A California conservative influencer was arrested Jan. 6 on charges that included helping steal a table from a Capitol conference room, the FBI said. there were attacks on law enforcement agencies.

The FBI first learned about Deluca just three days after the Capitol attack and interviewed Deluca on January 21, 2021, the day after Joe Biden’s inauguration, according to the bureau.

“Fight or let the politicians steal [an] election? Fight!” Deluca claimed he tweeted on the afternoon of January 6th.

DeLuca later wrote on January 6 that he had “mixed feelings” and then wrote that Trump should declare martial law, according to the FBI.

Deluca did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment.

More than 1,300 people have been arrested in connection with the January 6 attack on the Capitol, and prosecutors have secured more than 950 convictions. About 500 people were sentenced to terms ranging from a few days behind bars to 22 years in federal prison.
