A Colorado university student was arrested Monday morning on murder charges in the deaths of a fellow student and another man. was found shotside from the dorm room Colorado Springs police said last week.

The school confirmed that the suspect was studying at the university.
“Investigative efforts continue to indicate that this was not a random attack on the school or other students at the university, but an isolated incident between individuals who knew each other,” police said in a news release Monday.
Jordan was being held in the El Paso County Jail on two counts of first-degree murder.
The victims were found dead Friday at the Crestone House residence hall at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. They were fixed at the weekend As 24-year-old Samuel Knopp, a university student, and 26-year-old Celie Rain Montgomery. He did not go to school, the police department said in a previous statement.
The deaths, which led to an hour-long campus lockdown, were being investigated as homicides until it was determined there was no active shooter.
Knopp was from Parker, about 60 miles north of campus, and was a senior majoring in music education, university officials said. His mother wrote on Facebook Friday morning that the shooting hit “too close to home and made me want to throw up,” before she knew he had been killed.
Montgomery studied culinary arts for one semester at Pueblo Community College.
“These deaths, and the unimaginable pain that results from them, occur all too often in an environment where teaching and learning should be our sole concern,” the college said in a statement.
The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs was closed over the weekend and classes were canceled Monday so students could participate in a “day of healing,” the organization said in a letter to the campus community.
“We encourage everyone to come together throughout the day to support each other and take time to be intentional about healing,” the school said.
