Former President Donald Trump said he would challenge the ruling “all the way to the US Supreme Court if necessary” in a civil fraud trial in New York.
“I will fight this all the way to the United States Supreme Court if I have to,” he said in an interview with Fox News. according to conservative speech. “They can’t take your property before you’ve had a chance to appeal the decision of a Trump-hating, incompetent judge who is more ousted than any judge in the state.”
Trump told Fox News that he has close to $500 million in cash and other assets, but that doesn’t mean “I’m going to pay my crooked and incompetent judge.”

The former president has filed an appeal against the February decision of New York judge Arthur Engoro, who ordered Trump to pay more than $354 million in damages. The motion is standard procedure in New York and federal courts and allows the defendant to appeal while ensuring the plaintiff can collect if the appeal fails.
Trump’s assets and bank accounts could be seized by New York Attorney General Letitia James, who filed a fraud lawsuit against Trump if he fails to pay the bond by that date.
In order to take the case to the Supreme Court, Trump first had to complete the appeals process in state court. He asked an intermediate appeals court, the state Appellate Division, to either reduce the amount of bond he had to post or stay the award without bond while he appealed. The court has not yet decided.
