WASHINGTON – President-elect Donald Trump announced Friday that he has selected Carolyn Levitt to serve as White House press secretary.
“Caroline is smart, tough and has proven herself to be a highly effective communicator,” Trump said. “I have great confidence that he will excel at the podium and help us deliver our message to the American people as we make America great again.”
Leavitt served as his campaign’s national press secretary during this election cycle, and since Election Day, he has served as a spokesman for the transition team.
NBC News has reached out to Leavitt for comment.
On Friday morning, Trump named Stephen Cheung as his communications director. Cheung also carried the same name in Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.
