President-elect of the United States Donald Trump On Friday, Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer of Oregon said she had selected her to serve as labor secretary.
Trump said Chavez-DeRemer worked “tirelessly” with businesses and labor to build the U.S. workforce and support Americans.
“I look forward to working with him to create greater opportunity for American workers, expand training and apprenticeships, raise wages and improve working conditions, and bring back our manufacturing jobs,” Trump said.
Chavez-DeRemer, elected to Congress in 2022 lost his place to Democrat Janelle Bynum earlier this month.
