Vladmir Putin gifts lion and bears to North Korean zoo

Russia has transferred more than 70 animals, including Africans lion and two brown bearsA zoo in the capital of North Korea Pyongyang From the Moscow zoo Russian government said on Wednesday.

The animals were “(Russian President) Vladimir Putin’s gift to the Korean people,” the government said.

Pictures released by the Russian government showed a white cockatoo traveling in a crate and Kozlov receiving a tour of a Korean zoo from local officials.

Alexander Kozlov, the Minister of Natural Resources of Russia, visited the central zoo in Pyongyang, North Korea during the official event regarding the transfer of more than 70 animals from Russia to North Korea within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Russia donated birds, including eagles, cranes and parrots, to the Pyongyang Central Zoo in April.

Pyongyang and Moscow cheated closer ties After Putin visited the country in June and signed an agreement with the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

During that visit, Kim gave Putin a pair of Pungsan dogs, a local breed. Both of them took turns driving each other in the Russian-made “Arus” limousine.
