WASHINGTON – The US Secret Service recently notified the office of Vice President Kamala Harris of an incident involving one of its agents and an “alleged reckless driving,” according to spokespeople for both the USSS and the vice president’s office.
In a statement about the incident, Harris’ office said it “takes employee safety seriously” and has “zero tolerance for sexual exploitation.”
The Secret Service has placed the individual on administrative leave pending an inquiry, according to a USSS spokesman.
“The US Secret Service’s Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating an allegation of misconduct involving an employee,” an agency spokesman said. “The Secret Service holds its personnel to the highest standards. The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending the conclusion of the investigation.”
Harris’ office said it was recently alerted to the incident.
“The Office of the Vice President takes the safety of its employees seriously. We have zero tolerance for sexual abuse,” according to the statement, “Senior OVP officials were notified by the USSS of an incident involving an agent and were informed that the USSS had begun an investigation. The Office of the Vice President will not release additional information.”

According to the publication, which cited four unnamed sources, the incident occurred over the past week and occurred while staff were conducting preliminary security assessments for the ultimately defunct Harris campaign.
According to reports, the attack was witnessed by other people and took place in the hotel room after the employees went to lunch. According to the allegations, the agent raped a female employee in the process.
