Democrats to dub Trump a ‘chicken’ to pressure him to debate Harris

Democrats plan to launch a new messaging campaign calling the former president a “chicken” in an effort to get Donald Trump back on the debate stage with Vice President Kamala Harris. said he would not argue again.

The Democratic National Committee will release static billboards and mobile billboards, and Trump will even have a staff member dressed as a chicken at upcoming campaign events.

The chicken billboards, which will appear for the first time at Trump’s rally in Indiana, Pennsylvania, on Monday, include the words “There’s no debate: Donald Trump is a chicken,” along with a digitally altered image of Trump in a chicken suit.

Harris and Trump met this month at the first debate hosted by ABC News in Philadelphia.

The pair sparred over immigration, inflation and abortion, but just two days later, Trump tweeted at the Truth Social, “There will be no third debate!”

While Harris and Trump have met once this cycle on the debate stage, Trump debated President Joe Biden in June while still in the race.

In a news release about the upcoming chicken billboards, the Democratic National Committee noted that Biden and Trump were discussed in the 2020 presidential race on October 22 after voting began.

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
