The Democratic National Committee chanted anti-Trump campaign slogans at Trump Tower in Chicago the day before Sunday the Democratic cinvention begins.
Messages include “Trump-Vance is ‘weird as hell’,” “Harris Walz is fighting for you,” and “Project 2025 HQ.” controversial conservative policy plans written by several allies of former President Donald Trump. Trump abandoned Project 2025 in recent weeks.
“This week, the entire country will witness what it looks like to unite behind hope and a clear vision of a better future as Democrats rally behind Vice President Harris and Governor Waltz,” DNC spokesman Abhi Rahman said in a statement. “While Donald Trump and JD Vance are fighting for themselves, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are fighting for you.”
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment Sunday night.
Predictions are written in English and Spanish and are changed every few seconds. Other messages included “Trump-Vance for themselves” and “Harris Walz joy and hope.”
“All eyes are on Chicago, and tonight everyone gets a preview of the contrast that will shape the Democratic National Convention this week,” Rahman said.
The Democratic National Convention will begin Monday with a series of speakers Address by President Joe Biden in the evening. Harris will make a speech on Thursday, when the party will officially accept its presidential nomination.
Trump is set to hold a series of campaign events throughout the week, drawing a split screen with his political rival. The Republican National Convention was held last month. just days after becoming the target of an assassination attempt.
