Is that right? When making such a decision, I trust a parent more than, for example, a 14-year-old child. So it’s a thought experiment.”
“I have been a senator for two years. Have I proposed any legislation in this regard? Of course not,” he added. “Sometimes people make comments in response to what someone else has said. “If it was a policy proposal, I would have made a policy proposal during my two years in the US Senate.”
Vance said the 2021 comment was a “thought experiment” and only regretted that “the media and the Kamala Harris campaign clearly misrepresented what I said.”
