Jason Miller, a top adviser to Trump’s campaign, said in an interview on NBC’s “Today” on Monday that he “feels very lucky” that Trump is alive.

“And as he said, it’s only by the grace of God that he’s still with us. It’s a miracle that President Trump turned his head that little bit at the right time to dodge a bullet,” Miller said. “President Trump’s message from here is very simple: We must unite America. We must unite the country.”

In an interview with The Post, Trump said he originally drafted an “extremely tough” RNC speech about the “corrupt, terrible” Biden administration, but “dropped” it after the assassination attempt.

The former president said he was instead working on a new speech because “I want to try to unite our country,” he said, adding “but I don’t know if that’s possible. People are so divided.”

When asked by “Today” host Savannah Guthrie if she expected a different tone from Trump going forward, Miller said Trump post He said on his social media site Truth Social on Sunday that we need to be “firm in our faith and submissive in the face of evil.”
