Secret Service agent robbed at gunpoint during Biden’s California trip

A Secret Service agent was robbed at gunpoint weekend in California President Joe Biden was campaigning Los Angeles officials said Monday.

“The worker discharged his service weapon during the incident, but it is not known whether the attackers were shot or not. We are thankful that the worker was not injured,” Guglielmi said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.

Tustin police confirmed the investigation but declined to comment further Monday evening.

Authorities have not released the agent’s name.

The incident happened on the night Biden attended a fundraiser in Los Angeles with former President Barack Obama, actors George Clooney and Julia Roberts, and comedian Jimmy Kimmel. Over $30 million For the largest Democratic fundraiser, according to Biden’s re-election campaign.
