President Joe Biden apologized to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy for the 6-month delay in sending weapons. “The Russians took advantage of it. The Russians understood that the Americans are not giving the previous types of weapons,” said Bill Taylor, the former US ambassador to Ukraine. “It was very painful. That’s why it’s good that the president understood this problem.”
