Prosecutor Leo Wise questioned Naomi Biden about text messages she exchanged with her father on October 17, 2018, during a trip to New York.
The messages were not entered into evidence but were offered to refresh Naomi’s memory. Wise asked him if he remembered receiving a text from his father shortly before midnight on October 17 asking if he was awake.
He didn’t answer until very late, around 2 am, and said he had fallen asleep earlier. Hunter Biden then answered and asked if her now husband Peter could bring the truck to 57th and 5th Avenue to switch cars.
“The time stamp says so, but I don’t remember it being this late,” he said.
“Do you know what your father was doing at 2 in the morning and why they wanted the car at that time? Wise said.
“No,” Naomi said, adding that she didn’t remember any specific messages other than the car exchange with her father, who “still seemed fine and I was hopeful.”
After Hunter Biden texted her at 2 a.m. asking for a truck, Naomi Biden asked, “now?” he replied. he didn’t respond after that, Wise said.
