“While taxiing, his wing made contact with a parked and unoccupied corporate jet,” the FAA said. “The incident happened in the area of the airport where the FAA does not control the planes. The FAA is investigating.”
A wing is a short fin that extends above the wing of an aircraft. They are used to reduce aerodynamic drag.
CNBC asked a spokesperson for Trump’s presidential campaign to comment on the incident.
Trump maintains a residence at the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach.
Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, is on trial in a New York state court on a criminal conspiracy charge. He pleaded not guilty to a charge of falsifying business documents.
